During our learning this week our theme was kindness, respect, friendship and anti-bulying. We did many activities that ranged from drawing a buffalo as a symbol of respect. We focused on positive quotations and how we understand them and connect them to our own lives. We wrote a letter to a bully or a victim of a bully as we learned about how Pink Shirt Day came to be. We learned the story and then put ourselves in the "victim's" shoes and wrote a letter to express our thoughts. We also had a virtual author's visit from Monique Gray Smith, an indigenous author who wrote My Heart Fills with Happiness, You Hold Me Up and When We are Kind!
