Friday, March 8th

This week, all Grade 3/4 classes participated in swimming programming! We want to say a huge thank you to all parent volunteers who came to the pool to support with these special days. Students showed courage each day at the pool, as they pushed themselves to try new things and experiment with new skills. Everyone had a blast!

At school, we have been creating a collection of our recent learning to share with you during conferences on March 21 and 22. More details to follow in the coming weeks. In Math, we have also been continuing with basic fact practice and other strategies, such as box method or lattice method, to multiply multi-digit numbers.

Today is International Women's Day. Students honoured inspiring women and girls this week by reading stories, creating art, and learning about strong women in history and in their own lives.

Next week, our new round of targeted literacy groups begin. Students will be working in small, focused reading groups each day (M-Th) to practice their fluency and comprehension when reading fiction and non-fiction texts.

Have a lovely weekend and enjoy the upcoming mild weather!
