 Happy spring everyone!

We finally have some nice weather out there! I hope you can take advantage of it with your families this weekend.

We had a fun-filled week! Students have been sharpening up their multiplication and division strategies through problem solving and various algorithms we have been learning. Keep practicing at home to sharpen up your skills!

In science, we have been learning all about being stewards of the environment, what that looks like and what actions we can take to make this planet  beautiful and healthy. We are also taking part in Tomatosphere, and completing a science experiment where we will grow seeds that have been to outer space!

In social studies we are finishing up our research projects and presenting our findings about the regions of Alberta and the animals, plants, etc that live and grow here.

We continue to work through our fun book club books and assignments during small group reading times each morning. Students are having so much fun reading and discussing their books with each other. We continue to brush up on our nonfictions writing skills including writing in paragraphs, persuasive writing and jot notes when researching.

Important Dates:

**Ms. Huebner and Ms. Stacey's classes have their field trip forms in their backpacks ready to be signed for their trip to the Leighton Arts Centre on April 29th. Please fill out the forms and send them back promptly.
